About the Commercial Fishing Buoys Photograph
In Auke Bay, several commercial fishermen / fisherwomen have their boats in this harbor. As the seasons for salmon fishing, crabbing, and halibut get underway, the commercial boats leave the harbor ready to out fish each other. These buoys are generally tied to crab pots, shrimp pots or halibut long lines. If you are a fan of seafood, there’s a good chance that these buoys are a part of what you prepare for dinner.
